@cms-sw/orp-l2 , the master branch version of this backport is not yet tested in IB so I will wait for the 16.1.X today 11h00 IB before signing it. unless you know if it safe to include then feel free to force merge it

integration of this in 16.1.X does not show any new errors in IBs.
